This DVD focuses on the Assessment of Learning Disabilities. In the first part of the DVD, the traditional assessment procedures are discussed and the problems inherent in their use are pinpointed. In the second part, contemporary approaches of assessment are described ("educational problem solving", "responsiveness to intervention") and the method of "Curriculum based Measurement" (one of the most dynamic methods of educational data gathering) is presented in detail. Also in this part, application examples of the contemporary assessment approaches are delineated, based on the analysis of the difficulties in Reading, Writing and Mathematics presented by children with Learning Disabilities. At the end of the DVD useful references are given.
